Located on a 140,000 m² site in Parque Fontes do Ipiranga, the Brazilian Paralympic Center is one of the most complete of its type in the world.

With facilities for training 15 Paralympic sports (athletics, wheelchair basketball, boccia, wheelchair fencing, 5-a-side soccer, 7-a-side soccer, weightlifting, goalball, judo, swimming, wheelchair rugby, table tennis, wheelchair tennis, triathlon and sitting volleyball), the center has indoor and outdoor sports facilities, accommodation for up to 300 people, including athletes and coaching staff, a cafeteria, laundry, gym, support rooms and changing rooms, as well as the Sports Medicine and Science Center, which will enable the training of professionals and the advancement of sports science.

The complex is used for training, competitions and team exchanges, physical preparation, and the training of coaches, classifiers, referees and managers.

L+M was responsible for the general design of the complex, while Effect was responsible for developing the playing areas, as well as specifying the equipment approved by the respective sports confederations.
