- A contemporary design that promotes outdoor living and blurs the line between indoor and outdoor spaces, with scenic views from every angle.

- The concealed sliding doors astoundingly link bedrooms, balconies and terraces, creating a transformative effect that turns the home into a stunning mountain-top pavilion when fully open.
- The open layout was designed to facilitate extensive social interactions while also providing a serene retreat for the homeowners.
- “The retaining walls follow a linear arrangement and are adorned with locally sourced quarry stone cladding.” says architect Arturo Ponce de León. “Native vegetation and boulders were re-positioned over the walls. Departing from these walls, the home grows and expands by a composition of horizontal architectural planes with overlapping cantilevers that project outwards providing a sense of lightness and levitation.”
- From a simplified perspective, the home is divided into two levels. Lineal floating ramps (in lieu of stairs) provide the interaction between the two levels. Arriving at the heart of the design, guests encounter a magnificent mirror pond that serves as the focal point of the open-plan living and social areas. This entry sequence promotes active social interaction and a memorable spatial experience.

Materials and colors that blend with the surroundings
- “The house is cladded with dry-stacked regional quarry stones, limestones and stucco,” says Arturo Ponce de León. “The palette is meant to integrate with the tones of the project's natural desert surroundings.”
- Green roofs continue the desert integration from above, while the vegetation inside the home becomes gradually more lush and tropical with broad leaf plants and palms.
- All ceilings are cladded in a reclaimed Indonesian teak adding character and providing a coastal/nautical feel.
- The unique palette of architectural wood species, veneers and natural stones was carefully sourced in Mexico and juxtaposed with a curated selection of contemporary Italian furnishings and art.
