Working on sketches of spectacular interior sculptures-coffee tables, Ekaterina Elizarova decided to give each of them her amazing character, boldly combining actual reality and a fictional world into a single concept that allows you to "play" with space, animate it, awakening imagination, and inspiration.

Monster 1 is a real art object, a meaningful and expressive interior sculpture with character and soul, which, on the one hand, brings a great sense of humor to the interior, and on the other hand, opens the widest opportunities for design experiments, correctly placing accents in favor.  

  The idea of creating a series of charismatic characters appeared during Catherine's trip to Italy, and the images were finalized already in Russia, during the pandemic, during that emotionally difficult period when events developed according to a completely unpredictable scenario: "I felt an urgent need to help people cope with stress, to write my positive story," recalls Ekaterina Elizarova.  

   Planning the implementation of the project in a solid form, quite unexpectedly, interior sculptures began to live their own lives. The author's plots appeared, in fact, hand–drawn comics made together with the illustrator Lydia Andronova, who instantly fell in love with the entire team, partners and friends of Elizarova Design Studio.  

 Monster 1 is made in natural wood, varnished and presented in an elegant black color. Completely handmade, up to the grinding of radii, emphasizes the originality of the idea and demonstrates a very special aesthetics and values of the creator.  

Connoisseurs of modern art will be able to personally get acquainted with Monster 1 in the pop-up space of Manner & Matter, permanently online and in the gallery "Heritage". There are also plans for a large–scale presentation at the international exhibition "ARTDOM - 2024".

During the day, these are spectacular and accent accessories that complement and harmoniously fit into any interior space, but it is quite possible that with the sunset the author's sculptures come to life, because the tandem of the fantasy world and objective reality is just a matter of imagination and faith in miracles, which, as you know, happen where they are expected!
