Glamtree resort within nature | ArchiWorkshop

The land is covered with chestnut trees and has a natural contour. When you enter the site, you will feel like you are walking in a deep forest, and then you will see a beautiful view of Mount Suri with a valley. Mount Suri changes at different times of the day and with the changing seasons.

We looked forward to the journey of people experiencing the forest, staying here, and taking the experience home with them. We also thought about capturing Korean nature and culture in a modern way.'Glamtree' means a glamping pavilion and a tree. It also has a comprehensive meaning of abundant nature. The natural qualities of the land and the unique, sculptural glamping pavilions designed by the architects, inspired by the leaves and pebbles of the forest, come together to create a unified Glamtree.

When you arrive at Glamtree, the first thing you'll see is a parking lot with stone walls built along a forest path. The stone wall, made from stones from the earth, was created with the intention of cherishing and honoring the natural elements that were there. Follow the stone wall through a forest path with grasses and wild flowers, and you'll come to a welcome center that welcomes visitors.

The welcome center has a large triangular volume, respecting the shape of the end of the land. The architecture is designed to be experienced as part of nature, with a floating roof, so that when you enter the space, you are still in the forest. The welcome center functions as a reception desk, restaurant, and café. Facing the valley, the welcome center is also designed as an indoor spa and outdoor infinity hot pool. The middle part of the welcome center is a forest courtyard, which consists of a natural stair terrace that descends into the valley. The middle level of the terraces leads to a seminar room and movie theater, and further down, to a conference space that faces the valley. In this way, the welcome center actively embraces the topography of the site, creating a variety of experiences. It is an experience of being one with nature through architecture.

Glamtree's forest is filled with a variety of programs. There are glamping pavilions where you can stay overnight, a nature studio where you can experience the forest, and two treehouses.

The glamping pavilions follow the gentle slope of the forest, dotted with small forest paths, like the leaf veins of a tree. They are designed in two different forms, inspired by different leaf shapes and pebbles. The LEAF GLAMPING PAVILION is divided into a dynamic linear circular shape and a sleek linear boomerang shape. Each glamping has an individual exterior space and view to experience time in the forest.

We remember and appreciate the hard work and time that went into the construction of Glamtree, respecting the nature of the site and embracing the land. We look forward to the many different experiences people will have here, making it an even more beautiful space.

밤나무숲으로 우거진 대지는 자연스러운 등고로 이루어져 있다. 대지에 들어서면, 깊은 숲 속으로 산책을 나온 듯한 느낌이 들다가, 계곡과 함께 아름다운 서리산의 풍광이 눈에 들어온다. 서리산은 하루의 시간에 따라 그리고 계절의 변화에 따라 시시각각으로 다른 모습을 보여준다.

우리는 사람들이 숲을 체험하며, 이곳에 머무르고, 그 경험을 다시 가지고 가는 여정을 기대했다. 또한 한국의 자연과 문화를 모던하게 담는 작업을 고민하였다.‘글램트리’는 글램핑 파빌리온과 트리의 의미를 지니고 있다. 풍성한 자연이라는 포괄적인 뜻도 가진다. 대지가 가지는 자연의 특성과 건축가가 숲 속의 나뭇잎과 조약돌에서 영감을 받아 설계한 독특하고, 조형적인 글램핑 파빌리온이 함께 어우러져, 연합된 글램트리가 만들어진다.

글램트리에 도착하면, 숲 속 길을 따라 쌓여진 돌담이 있는 주차장과 가장 처음 만나게 된다. 대지에서 나온 돌을 가지고 만들어진 돌담은 그곳에 있었던 자연 요소를 소중히 하고, 아끼는 마음에서 시작되었다. 돌담을 따라 들풀과 들꽃이 있는 숲길을 걸어 들어오면, 방문객을 맞이하는 웰컴센터를 만나게 된다.

웰컴센터는 대지의 끝부분의 형태를 존중하며, 큰 삼각형의 볼륨을 가진다. 건축물은 마치 지붕이 떠 있는 구조로 되어있는데, 공간에 들어서면 여전히 숲속에 있는 것과 같이 자연의 일부로 경험되도록 설계되었다. 웰컴센터는 리셉션 데스크, 레스토랑과 카페의 기능을 동시에 가진다. 또한 계곡과 맞닿은 웰컴센터는 실내 스파, 실외 인피니티 온수풀로 설계되었다. 웰컴센터의 중간 부분은 숲 속 마당인데, 계곡으로 내려가는 자연 속 계단 테라스로 구성된다. 계단 테라스의 중간층에서 세미나실 겸 영화관으로 이어지며, 더 아래로 내려가면, 계곡과 맞닿은 컨퍼런스 공간이 펼쳐진다. 이처럼 웰컴센터는 대지의 지형을 적극적으로 받아들여, 다양한 경험을 만들어낸다. 건축을 통해 자연과 하나되는 경험이다.

글램트리의 숲은 다양한 프로그램으로 채워져 있다. 숙박이 가능한 글램핑 파빌리온들과 숲 체험을 도와주는 네이춰 스튜디오 그리고 2개의 트리하우스가 있다.

글램핑 파빌리온들은 완만한 숲의 경사에 따라, 작은 숲길 곳곳에 나뭇잎의 잎맥처럼 자연스럽게 자리잡는다. 2개의 다른 형태로 디자인 되었는데, 다양한 나뭇잎의 형태와 조약돌에서 영감을 받았다. LEAF GLAMPING PAVILION은 다이나믹한 선형의 원형 형태와 날렵한 선형의 부메랑 형태로 구분된다. 각각의 글램핑들은 숲 속의 시간을 체험하기 위해, 개별적인 외부공간과 뷰를 가진다.

우리는 ‘글램트리’가 이곳의 자연을 존중하며 땅에 안긴 건축으로 만들어진 노력과 시간을 기억하고, 감사한다. 이곳에서 사람들의 다양한 경험들이 쌓이며 더 아름다운 공간으로 남게 될 것을 기대한다
