Architectural Concept

As an integral part of the natural surroundings, Casa Oito presents itself. The essence of this project lies in the fluidity between nature and architecture, giving rise to the fundamental dialogue that allows for its creation. With a meticulous focus on the best use of materials to evoke the project's concept, the materials speak of intentional rusticity, with the use of raw stones anchoring the house. The wood that extends from the veranda reveals comfort as a focal point in the interior finishes. Light and shadow also shape the architecture through sculpted openings that integrate the built environment with the natural countryside, as evidenced by the inner courtyard with a garden, the windows and doors offering views of the surroundings, and the shadows cast by the lush vegetation on the house's façade.

Attention is also given to the use of the roof, bringing this area to life with wooden decks and furniture for the residents' social life. Simple and sophisticated, Casa Oito epitomizes balanced living between natural and functional elements and embodies the unique style developed by ARCHITECTS OFFICE.

Architecture

Designed to be a model countryside house, Casa OITO emerges from the desire to create architecture that harmonizes and coexists with the rural nature, crafted by ARCHITECTS OFFICE in collaboration with LAR Identidade. This creation features five single-family houses with a central courtyard organizing the design program. It comprises five suites with private decks, a communal terrace, open-plan living/dining areas integrated with the kitchen and an external veranda. Additionally, there's a leisure annex with 77 m², including a sauna, changing rooms, and a complete gourmet space.

The primary concept revolves around the sculpted monolith. However, unlike Casa Pedra, the first project designed for LAR Identidade, Casa OITO allows for the use of concrete, stone, and greenery alongside a noble and sensual material: wood. The choice of simple and genuine materials offers the opportunity to blur the boundaries between the outside and inside with subtleties perceived by the senses.

The house gradually embraces its surroundings through architectural and design elements, from the high ceilings that vary as you enter the dwelling to the openings in specific locations on the house's façade, framing views and enhancing the sense of connection. The courtyard is another resource that immerses you in nature within the house; the central garden organizes the residential program, integrates with the terrace above, and guides pathways permeated by natural ventilation and lighting in the internal landscapes.

The layout is designed for a seamless experience of home life, with social and private areas demarcated by windows and a slight floor level difference, reflecting the subtleties of the dwelling. Demonstrating a dialogue with time, essential in the rural experience, the pergola on the veranda filters the sun and displays the play of light and shadows, highlighting the passage of hours.

The result is a refined house, perched above a large, recessed plateau, seemingly floating on the lot, with atmospheres that alternate between intimate and communal, all connected to the countryside landscape, bearing the signature of ARCHITECTS OFFICE for LAR Identidade.
