Brief

The client’s major consideration was to have ample space that could be organized while taking into account all their wishes. This was their first house, so the client wanted to be completely involved in the process on every stage. The designers faced the task of developing a functional interior that reflects the tastes of the family and creates home comfort.

Challenge

A structurally challenging decision was made to create a floating quartzite counter in the kitchen. This required a high level of professionalism from the designer and builders. The team redesigned it several times until they achieved the desired effect of absolute weightlessness.

Concept

A country house with a modern makeover, where integrity and harmony with the environment are fundamental components of the design. The team paid significant attention to the ergonomic planning, which is why there are no corridors in the house. This approach allowed for the most efficient use of space.

Realization

To avoid disturbing the landscape, the house is designed to blend with the existing terrain. As you enter, you are immediately on the second floor, where the bedrooms are located. On the ground floor, you'll find a common area with the kitchen, dining, and living zones.

The interior of this house uses natural, soft materials with pronounced texture: marble, quartzite, wood, textiles, glass, and leather. And since there was a desire to create a space without unnecessary details, many dark coatings were used.

The dining area is designed with a minimalist approach, featuring a large table with chairs designed for eight people and a horizontal lamp that casts warm diffused light. The dining room's ambiance is defined by an abstract urban panel called "Day," which is part of the triptych "A Walk in the City" created by Northern Irish illustrator Nigel Peek for the House of Hermès. The vibrant colors and geometric shapes of these panels also extend their influence to the living room, skillfully transformed by the designer into the focal point of the entire interior.

Located in the depth of the house, the kitchen area is visually separated from the dining room by different floor materials. To avoid the feeling of a closed space, glass panels were integrated into the facades of the storage systems, which completely covered one of the walls. Thanks to reflections, the illusion of additional windows was created.

The focal point is the view outside the window, which served as the basis for the entire house's design. The color scheme in the bedroom is very subdued. For wall decoration, the designers used panels covered with fabric from Loro Piana Interiors. The overall color scheme is maintained with a subtly designed Poliform bed featuring bright edging.

In the house, there are two children's rooms that were designed based on ideas generated by the children themselves. All the colors, finishes, and decor were chosen by the young clients. Special attention was given to textures and finishes, resulting in a bright and cheerful space. The lighting was supplied by Lladró, and the curtains are from Hermes.

The main concept for the bathrooms is to avoid placing mirrors above the wash basins, allowing one to admire the natural beauty outside the window while washing in the morning. The bathroom is constructed using Sahara Noir Italian marble and porcelain stoneware from Ardesi. The team used plumbing fixtures from Gessi, and the lighting was provided by Santa&Cole.
