Seaside garden houses in Palanga | Laurynas Žakevičius Architects

"Seaside garden" is a designed and being developed building complex in one of the Lithuanian resorts, near the coast of the Baltic Sea, Palanga. The neighborhood of the natural environment had a great influence in creating and shaping the future identity of the vacant plot. Thus, there was a need for creating a vibrant live environment for all year round. And the residential duplex buildings of aesthetic minimalistic architecture that have "sprouted" in  “Seaside garden” are comfortably and practically planned, suitable for living and resting for the whole family.

The architect himself is also the author, developer and one of the first residents of this quarter. The block is planned especially paying attention what the resident of the house will see from their windows. Buildings intended for holiday and relaxation must be lived in not only in the summertime, but also visited in the cold season, so their whole area is pleasantly lit, the very aesthetics forms of the houses and high-quality decoration materials are captivating for the eye.

In the 65 m2 house, one part of the duplex, the architect thought through every square centimeter down to the smallest detail, efficiently used niches and corners to store things and feel as comfortable as possible for the whole family. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, storage room and really big comfortable kitchen with nice dining area for minimum six are planned in every house. „For a small house, good quality architecture is very important” - Laurynas Žakevičius says. Every family of the house also have their own spaciuos wooden terrace and intimate green inner yard.

The closed, harmoniously planned structure of the block will consist of a total of 15 two-apartment houses in Kunigiškiai, Palanga. It naturally turned out that the main values of the project became: integrity, harmony of architectural style, natural, high-quality materials, aesthetic and functional interior.

The silhouette of the buildings with their high pointed gable roof echoes traditional architecture, so it is usual to the eye and blends harmoniously into the landscape. The rhythmic line is a significant artistic tool for architects. On the exterior finish, white or black wooden openwork vertical panels covers second floor bedroom's windows (in order to maintain the solidity of the building form) have a so-called "blinds" effect.  It also moves into the interior spaces with the sunlight and play of the shadows, creates an effect of intimacy, security and sun protection for every current and future resident.

"Seaside Garden" es un complejo de edificios diseñado y en desarrollo en uno de los centros turísticos de Lituania, cerca de la costa del Mar Báltico, Palanga. La vecindad del entorno natural tuvo una gran influencia en la creación y configuración de la futura identidad del solar baldío. Por lo tanto, existía la necesidad de crear un entorno de vida vibrante durante todo el año. Y los edificios residenciales dúplex de estética arquitectura minimalista que han “brotado” en “Seaside garden” están planificados de forma cómoda y práctica, aptos para la vivienda y el descanso de toda la familia.

El propio arquitecto es también autor, promotor y uno de los primeros vecinos de este barrio. El bloque se planifica prestando especial atención a lo que el residente de la casa verá desde sus ventanas. Los edificios destinados a las vacaciones y la relajación deben ser habitados no solo en verano, sino también visitados en la estación fría, por lo que toda su área está agradablemente iluminada, las formas estéticas de las casas y los materiales de decoración de alta calidad son cautivadores para la vista. .

En la casa de 65 m2, una parte del dúplex, el arquitecto pensó en cada centímetro cuadrado hasta el más mínimo detalle, utilizó eficientemente nichos y rincones para guardar cosas y sentirse lo más cómoda posible para toda la familia. En cada casa se planean dos dormitorios, dos baños, trastero y una cocina realmente grande y cómoda con un agradable comedor para un mínimo de seis personas. "Para una casa pequeña, la arquitectura de buena calidad es muy importante", dice Laurynas Žakevičius. Cada familia de la casa también tiene su propia terraza de madera espaciosa y un patio interior verde íntimo.

La estructura cerrada y armoniosamente planificada del bloque consistirá en un total de 15 casas de dos apartamentos en Kunigiškiai, Palanga. Naturalmente, resultó que los valores principales del proyecto se convirtieron en: integridad, armonía del estilo arquitectónico, materiales naturales de alta calidad, interior estético y funcional.

La silueta de los edificios con su techo a dos aguas alto y puntiagudo se hace eco de la arquitectura tradicional, por lo que es habitual a la vista y se integra armoniosamente en el paisaje. La línea rítmica es una importante herramienta artística para los arquitectos. En el acabado exterior, los paneles verticales calados de madera blanca o negra cubren las ventanas de los dormitorios del segundo piso (para mantener la solidez de la forma del edificio) tienen el llamado efecto de "persianas". También se traslada a los espacios interiores con la luz del sol y el juego de sombras, creando un efecto de intimidad, seguridad y protección solar para cada residente actual y futuro.
