Mur Mur
Art with no barriers Kyiv / Ukraine / 2017
On the eighth floor of a building in Kyiv, a cylindrical tower offers a spectacular view of the city: it is the entry point to the Mur Mur restaurant.
The fundamental idea guiding the design of the restaurant is to recreate a metropolitan loft atmosphere by merging it with the even more elaborate concept of art without barriers. In the stylistic choices adopted, one can read Mexican, Central Asian, Indochinese, and Japanese influences as well as typically European signs. Those who come to the Mur Mur should have the impression of being at the same time in Paris, Mexico, or Latin America.
The restaurant is designed as a cozy apartment, where the guest can feel like a friend above all, but also as a place to meet art. What is important, is that those who come to Mur Mur have the feeling that they are the guests at an exclusive party hosted by a friend. He can relax while enjoying the fantastic view of the city, or he can watch the show cooking in the open kitchen before tasting the specialties prepared by the chef.
In addition to the restaurant and bar, Mur Mur also offers a piano area and DJ space, the latter enhanced by a special vinyl library, organized and created with the same passion a host would have made it. Mur Mur is a special space, cozy, and domestic, but with a strong traditional feel.
