Pediatrician’s office | studiomateriality

A clinic must make its visitors feel safe and welcome. Especially when it is one that is about children and adolescents, a pediatric clinic that, in addition to the necessary examinations and what is recorded in the physical health booklets, also wants to offer counseling and support and embrace all children and adolescents regardless of age, gender identity and sexuality.

With the natural material of wood and using the rainbow as a dominant symbol, the interior design of the children's clinic located in Ioannina has in each space different geometries, constructions, shapes, lines, plenty of colour and strong contrasts that catch the eye and attract the attention of its young visitors. Messages on the walls like "yes to who we are" and "show your true colours" aim to empower them, to remind them that they are in a safe and friendly environment.

Ένα ιατρείο οφείλει να κάνει τους επισκέπτες του να νιώθουν ασφαλείς και καλοδεχούμενοι. Πόσο μάλλον όταν πρόκειται για κάποιο που απευθύνεται σε παιδιά και εφήβους, για ένα παιδιατρείο που εκτός από τις απαραίτητες εξετάσεις και όσα καταγράφονται στα βιβλιάρια σωματικής υγείας θέλει παράλληλα να προσφέρει συμβουλευτική καθοδήγηση και υποστήριξη και να αγκαλιάσει όλα τα παιδιά και τους εφήβους ανεξαρτήτως ηλικίας, ταυτότητας φύλου και σεξουαλικότητας.

Με το φυσικό υλικό του ξύλου και χρησιμοποιώντας σαν κυρίαρχο σύμβολο το ουράνιο τόξο, το interior design του παιδιατρείου που βρίσκεται στα Γιάννενα έχει σε κάθε χώρο διαφορετικές γεωμετρίες, κατασκευές, σχήματα, γραμμές, άφθονο χρώμα και έντονες αντιθέσεις που κερδίζουν το βλέμμα και τραβάνε την προσοχή των μικρών επισκεπτών του. Μηνύματα στους τοίχους σαν το “yes to who we are” και το “show your true colors” στοχεύουν στην ενδυνάμωση τους, στο να τους υπενθυμίσουν πως βρίσκονται σε ένα ασφαλές και φιλικό περιβάλλον.
