Bureau Clairière | Planium di Terenzi

The collaboration between PLANIUM SRL and the designers Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman is now consolidated with very diversified projects. The duo supported our company on several occasions during the Milan Design Week with lunar steels and WAVE11 in 2022 and with luminous decorative objects such as Shadow Light in 2023. Both editions focus on the chromatic power of oxidations.

Bureau Clairière is much more than just a table and this consideration is evident at first glance. Created for the Armel Soyer Gallery in the historic center of St. Tropez, the work captures all the visitor's attention as soon as they enter the space.

The French term clairière means glade, the portion of land within a wooded area where the trees thin out. And just like soft fronds we find ourselves caressing the long and soft filaments applied.

PLANIUM has made possible the creation of a well-defined structure, perfect in its details and absolutely original in its conception.

4 mm laser cut 304 BA AISI: this is the material chosen by the PLANIUM designers together with the designers for Bureau Clairière. The cross, the component that joins the floor to the structure of the same, is in 4 mm thick Calamine steel.

A champagne-colored gilding operation is performed on all the elements; the base and surfaces are shiny and golden, therefore, and in combination the color of the textile ornaments fully stands out. The fringes have been knotted in pairs in each hole, for the whole dimension of the top. The cascade of threads is truly surprising and gives the Table a suspended, magical, enchanted look. To obtain this suggestive effect, 20 km of 72 cm long rubber were used: each braid is made up of 4 intersecting segments.

Finally, the transparency of the glass seals and protects the support surface.
