The Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, with its 73,000 square meters, is the largest congress center in all of India. It was created as a tribute to India, a place where the best of India and the rest of the world can come together to communicate and share their cultures. Designed by the TVS studio, it presents an international style while still maintaining a strong Indian cultural and spiritual influence. One of the recurring decorative elements is the lotus, India's national flower and a part of the nation's art and mythology since ancient times.

A masterpiece of technology and design, it also pays special attention to the environment, so much so that it has obtained LEED Platinum certification, thanks to systems for energy optimization and water recovery, for example.

SICIS contributed to the creation of this extraordinary space dedicated to business and entertainment with a series of high-quality artistic mosaic coverings.

The Cultural Centre

On March 31, 2023, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre was inaugurated, a space dedicated to the arts and entertainment located within the Jio World Centre. The cultural center, strongly desired by the Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the realization of her dream to offer the best of Indian art and culture to the world. Inside the cultural center, we find the 2000-seat Grand Theatre, where SICIS created the external coverings of the VIP balconies using artistic mosaic. For the project, a specific pattern was created using tiles that degrade from gold to red from the Colibrì collection.

The Fountain of Joy

At the center of the Dhirubhai Ambani Square stands the spectacular Fountain of Joy. A lotus-shaped structure with a diameter of 34 meters, featuring water jets up to 13 meters and 664 LED lights for incredible light and color displays, offering unforgettable shows to visitors. SICIS created the internal decoration of the fountain using various shades of blue glass mosaic from the Iridium collection. The outer edge features a covering of gold tiles from the Colibrì collection.

The Art House

Inside the Art House, a 1500 square meter exhibition space within the cultural center, we find a decorative area created with SICIS artistic mosaic from the OrienTale collection. A custom floral motif specially designed for the project, with gold tiles and metallic reflections.

In addition to the works mentioned above, SICIS covered some counters with mosaic from the Fibers collection, which alternates traditional tiles with elongated ones, mixing glass, gold, and marble. It also created the large decorative handles for the entrances to the Lotus Ballroom. The Armstrong handles, already part of SICIS's collection of miniature mosaic handles, feature custom decoration.
