The starting point of the "Mid Century Flavour" project was the clients' stylistic preference for mid-century design and interiors. The arrangement is the result of the shared passion for details among all those involved, and the entire work was based on effective communication with them.

Situated in a newly constructed area of the city, the residence was acquired with its exterior finished, while the interior was at the gray stage and lacked compartments. There was no interior staircase, allowing us to design it as a unifying element (both in terms of volume and materials) connecting the entrance area, living room, and transitioning to the private space on the upper floor.

Terrazzo-style ceramic tiles installed in the hallway, bathrooms, and kitchen continue onto the podium, forming the second step of the staircase, which then extends into the living room, seamlessly integrating with the TV unit. This composition is complemented by a set of cantilevered wooden-clad steps.

The kitchen is visually connected to the living room, yet it can be separated as needed through a glass partition with a metal frame.

The entire ground floor is designed for chromatic continuity, creating a unified, fluid, and welcoming space.

On the upper floor, you'll find the master bedroom (with a dressing room and private bathroom) and two more bedrooms served by a shared bathroom accessible from the hallway.

The dominant element in the master bedroom is the bed headboard, customized with graphics by Ana Bănică. The curved shape of the wall draws attention to it, while LED lighting emphasizes the verticality of the ensemble.

The master bathroom maintains the colored lines and geometric patterns from the rest of the design. The ceramic flooring extends to conceal the bathtub and continues onto the adjacent wall. We used a special washable paint in a turquoise shade for wet spaces. White areas and wooden details balance the entire composition. Natural light was a crucial consideration, positioning the bathtub under the window and incorporating plants.

The shared bathroom on the upper floor is also vibrant with color: we combined green-toned mosaic in the shower area with glossy yellow ceramic tiles on the opposite wall. The wood, along with beige floor tiles, ties the entire space together, providing warmth and chromatic coherence.
