Kano. cn is an emerging Chinese brand company with a global vision, focusing on office furniture research and development, production, sales and service. Starting from 2019, LYCS Architecture joined with Kano.cn to create the Kano headquarters office space, which is now officially put into use. The project has a total construction area of 7,500 square meters, including conference, design, sales, R&D, training and showroom functions.

The project is located in Anji, Zhejiang, the only ecological county in the country. Under the mist of green water and mountains, Anji is also a major town in China's furniture manufacturing industry, where Kano's headquarters is located. It is part of Kano's intelligent factory, which covers an area of about 200 acres and has a total construction area of over 200,000 square meters.

Promenade workplace LYCS Architecture don't design buildings, but intriguing lifestyles. The study of users' real needs is our design's starting point.

The global trade order has become turbulent amidst the epidemic's impact, and the inconvenience of communication has made crossborder trade doubly cautious. Therefore, a standardized and highend display of the physical industry is essential to flesh out the corporate brand image and win the trust of new trade partners. Providing a high quality yet inspiring working environment for corporate employees and showcasing Kano's full industry chain integration capabilities from design and development to manufacturing through tours are two core needs we extracted. Thus, the design team developed the strategy "Promenade Workplace."

The super-scale revolving staircase is like a stage The office space is designed with a 6-story atrium at its center. The design team created a large revolving staircase that spans all six stories, resembling a stage. It passes through key areas such as reception, meetings, sales, design, R&D, training, showroom, and the president's office, providing a clear picture of how the headquarters operates. The staircase is like a "corridor" bathed in sunlight, with openable skylights to provide ample sunlight and fresh air for employees on all floors, allowing the mind to relax completely between work sessions. The atrium becomes a unique and iconic identity for the company.

As many business as there are styles The tour starts from the first floor. The vestibule opens to the south, and sunlight, lawn and colorful and leisurely public space products reflect each other. The first floor has several sizes of negotiation, meeting and rest spaces. The space is abstractly treated with a dock, container, trestle and boat opening the door to welcome guests. Picking up the steps, the second to fourth floors are for domestic and international marketing, design and R&D and whole-house customization teams, respectively. The overall style is dark and bright, with three styles of business elegance, creative vitality and warm elegance as the themes, respectively. The fifth floor is a diversified meeting and training space, with various easy and active training forms to make training less boring. On the sixth floor, the executive floor, the overall style becomes business steady, highlighting the modern business president atmosphere, showing various characteristics of the president's office space.

Social fear and social cattle, each in Its place With efficient privacy and open communication as the two axes of the spectrum, the design team designed a completely private phone booth, a partially private glass box office, a semi-open grille box office, and a completely open office area open to encourage communication. The different scales and openness of the office areas provide an inclusive, equitable, flexible, sustainable and healthy workspace for all employees, social fears and social cows, each in their way.

Kano's major production lines provide lift tables, telephone booths, office furniture, and wall veneer. Employees are designers, sellers, and first-hand users, constantly iterating and optimizing from the use experience to provide realistic use scenarios for each production line's products.
