Private home stacked along a slope, load bearing concrete structure with inserted wood-brick
volume and Cortensteel facade with an open plan living space and a 25m cantileverd pool

Initial situation for the construction of the detached house was a slope sloping steeply to the west. Due to the steepness of the slope, it was necessary to layer a good embedding in it or to ensure the landscape. Requierement of the customers was to accommodate people here as well as to integrate a swimming lane with a length of 25 m. In addition, the house was planned to use alternative energy to be heated.

The descision was made for ground flat collectors and solar collectors. Through activation of the concrete core of the supporting structure of the house (insertion of heating pipes in the wall and floor) no radiators were necessary in the rooms.

The house was designed as an open 'loft-like' space for the adults and a complete body designed for the children. In the open part the functions line up without any noticeable separation from each other.

The actual support structure is made of concrete, the pushed structure for children is made of wood and brick. The facade is generously open to the west. The closed parts of the facade (south and north) are clad in corten steel. The east side is provided with a pre-bricked natural stone wall
and serves as a heat store.The furnishings such as kitchen and boxes were included in the planning.
