An energy-efficient house built in sustainable construction with
swimming pond, cross-laminated-timber construction with hemp insulation, 4 cm clay stucco on reed mat for best living climate, extensive green roof, cedar shingle cladding outside also working as insect repellent, floor-covering and furniture recycled oak.

All used materials 100% bio-degradable, residual energy hea- ting supply via geothermal heat pump.

It was decided that we use a timber construction using cross-ply wood panels for the house. Only hemp was used for insulation. Clay plaster with integrated wall heating was used on the inside and the whole resting on a concrete basement.

All the floors are made from reclaimed oak and are equipped with underfloor heating. The facade
consists of hand-split cedar shingles. The house is designed as a low-energy house. The remaining energy is supplied via a heat pump from a deep geothermal borehole.

In addition to the concept of sustainability and the associated materiality, it was considered to do a unique formulated, clearly legible, monolithic formed body with seperated functional zones.

Four functional zones are grouped around one central lounge and are used as independent wings, which are located in the central meet lounge. On the ground floor, all wings meet in a star shape
on each other.

One of the wings of the houses has the entrance and the extension of the basement.
One wing accommodates the children with a children's room, common play and recreation room. One wing forms the central lounge with the kitchen, dining and living. The parents' wing slides over the children's wing and so forms an inner independent one - the part of the building with bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and terrace.
