In a green-filled housing estate in Warsaw, we had the pleasure of designing an apartment for a 4-person family. The Pasaż Ursynowski estate, where the investment is located, was designed by architect Marek Budzyński and built between 1995 and 1997.

The main guideline was to divide the space into individual relaxation zones and common areas: the kitchen, living room, and terrace, which were meant to integrate the household members. By completely reorganizing the space, we managed to create additional room for a designated utility area.

The master bedroom features its own bathroom with a shower and toilet, a walk-in closet, and a well-lit dressing table with space for morning makeup routines. This area can also function as a home office since both parents often work from home.

The first child's room was designed for a school-going girl who adores the color turquoise. The second child's room was created for a boy who loves cars and books. Apart from the four family members, there are also two cats in the apartment, for whom we designed special hiding spots to shield them from noise. One of these hideaways is cleverly concealed in a seating area under the shower.

In the kitchen, together with the investors, we opted for a powder pink color, which appears on the furniture and the range hood's structure. Cashmere-clad kitchen island and cabinets harmoniously blend with terrazzo tiles in a light beige shade. Wooden flooring and furniture in the living room and kitchen further warm up the interior and create a cozy atmosphere.

In the bathrooms, we combined terrazzo tiles with mosaic tiles from the Rako company. In the children's bathroom, the form of the bathing area was cast from concrete and clad with tiles according to our design. We decided to add a touch of steampunk style to the interior by exposing the reinforced concrete structure of the ceiling beams. Rounded mirrors as accessories soften the interior and visually enlarge the space.
