What is 5 Dari?
A master bedroom with five portals that lead onto a porch in front of a courtyard. In older Persian homes, it is almost exclusively used for entertaining guests; in smaller households, it acts as the living room. For residents, it is one of the Old Persian architectural elements.

The design process of villa 5 Dari has modular Old Persian architecture. Actually, you can see a modern villa based on Persian architecture elements: central courtyard, privacy spaces, light catchers, depth of shades, upper private floors, and also using materials like bricks and layouts for portals that control the lights and privacy of sight.

In addition, there is a master courtyard that defines public and private areas with 5 openings with moveable brick wall shades. The interior is the most connected to the courtyard; this also applies to the first floor, which has a terrace.

The positioning of the portal shades allows us to adjust the light and visibility by adjusting the shades that look out onto the courtyard. Each shade includes a moving mechanism with a brick mesh structure on wheels and reels to simulate a blind and sightless scenario.
