Rahnavard Villa,is situated in the Chelak area of Mazandaran province. This property is the first plot adjacent to the sea in the residential complex. The client's request was to design a villa with the atmosphere of desert-style houses. The challenge for the design team was to provide a solution for the client's conflicting desires. How could they design an inward-focused desert-style atmosphere in the northern climate with an outward-focused architectural approach? Traditional Iranian house typologies have always been a subject of contemplation for the design team. However, in this project, a different approach to traditional typologies was adopted.

After applying construction regulations for the villa, such as setbacks and height restrictions, the remaining volume was divided into two rectangle by an intermediate courtyard in the north-south direction to create natural lighting and an intermediate space. The street-facing areas were designated for service spaces, while the back of the property was defined for more private spaces to ensure greater privacy. In general, the ground floor was allocated for more public spaces, while the upper floor was dedicated to private areas.

Furthermore, three intersecting vault were added to the initial volume, reminiscent of old houses, creating a sense of connectivity between the interior and exterior of the project. These vault interconnect all the spaces, and ultimately, terraces were designed to expand the views towards the vault and create green spaces within the project.
