Small two bedroom apartment with blue accents | Anastasia Kholoptseva

Couple of middle fifties with an active lifestyle asked to use some associations with 60-70-s in the interior of this apartment. We got on well form the beginning, and all decisions were taken quickly. As the total square of the apartment was quite small, we made a choice to use one chromatic colour and its derivatives. The first idea was to make all doors in blue. So, this colour was used in other spaces and objects.

In order to make smooth zoning between living room and kitchen in the open space we used ombre/degrade effect, when one more intensive blue overflow into light-blue.

The best decision that was made – usage of two armchairs instead of sofa in relax zone. This helped us a lot to make living room spacious. Relatively small dining table with transparent base and big but also light suspension above perfectly fit between living space and kitchen. Kitchen itself turned out to be absolutely fully functional and extensive. Black kitchen top and panel of Italian ceramics Sahara Noir correspond to the black marble coffee table top and bring elegance to the space.

Special attention was made to the sleeping areas, both bedrooms were thoroughly thought over, long discussion was about matrasses and bed’s forms. At the end in a husband’s bedroom, we used matrass-transformer (ergomotion), which allows to make a lounge chair or even an armchair out of the bed.
