Nestled within the enchanting confines of Alcamo's historic center, resides a true architectural treasure with a venerable past. The timeworn walls of a 16th-century church, now deconsecrated, have given birth to a remarkable renovation endeavor that skillfully showcases and reinterprets its historical essence in an avant-garde manner.

Conceived within the void, a reinforced concrete framework takes shape, adorned with a central pillar meticulously dividing the floors into four distinct realms. This robust structure serves as the very bedrock on which the metamorphosis of this property is erected.

The challenge presented to our design team by our esteemed client was to fashion this space into a contemporary office, imbued with abundant natural illumination gracing every corner. In pursuit of this vision, an audacious feat was undertaken - removing one of the ceilings, harnessing the double-height expanse, and introducing a celestial skylight that delicately diffuses light throughout the entire premises.

 Internally, transparent partitions dominate, allowing the light to dance through, fostering a seamless flow. Moreover, the solid architectural elements themselves have been artfully transformed into functional containers, augmenting the very environment they inhabit.

Paying homage to the cherished vestiges and memories of this hallowed ground was a pivotal facet of our design philosophy. The juxtaposition of the grand masonry of the ancient church and the contemporary framework sparks a captivating dialogue between bygone eras and the present, ultimately bestowing upon the project a distinctive and captivating ambiance.

The culmination of our endeavors yielded a harmonious fusion of history and modernity, where luminosity permeates every recess, cultivating an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. This project stands as a testament to architecture's profound ability to breathe new life into historical spaces, exalting their intrinsic beauty for all to behold.

Immerso nell'incantevole cuore del centro storico di Alcamo, si trova un vero tesoro architettonico con un passato venerabile. Le mura consunte di una chiesa del XVI secolo, oggi sconsacrata, hanno dato vita a un notevole progetto di ristrutturazione che mette abilmente in mostra e reinterpreta la sua essenza storica in modo avanguardistico.

Concepito nel vuoto, un telaio in cemento armato prende forma, adornato da un pilastro centrale che divide meticolosamente i piani in quattro distinti spazi. Questa struttura robusta costituisce la base stessa su cui si erge la metamorfosi di questa proprietà. 

La sfida presentata al nostro team di progettazione da parte del nostro stimato cliente era trasformare questo spazio in un ufficio contemporaneo, permeato da un'abbondante illuminazione naturale che avvolge ogni angolo. Per perseguire questa visione, abbiamo intrapreso un'impresa audace: rimuovere uno dei soffitti, sfruttare l'altezza a doppio volume e introdurre un lucernario celestiale che diffonde delicatamente la luce in tutto l'edificio.

Internamente, le partizioni trasparenti dominano, permettendo alla luce di danzare e favorire un flusso armonioso. Inoltre, gli stessi elementi architettonici solidi sono stati abilmente trasformati in contenitori funzionali, arricchendo l'ambiente in cui si trovano. 

Rendere omaggio ai preziosi resti e ricordi di questa terra sacra è stata una componente fondamentale della nostra filosofia di progettazione. La giustapposizione della maestosa muratura dell'antica chiesa e la struttura contemporanea crea un affascinante dialogo tra epoche passate e presente, donando al progetto un'atmosfera distintiva e coinvolgente.
