Designing Mariane and Eduardo's new apartment was something more than special for our team. After creating a graphic design project for this couple's wedding in 2017, we brought the entire developed concept and were able to apply it now to their apartment's physical space.

Like any project, we applied our DNA creation and conceptualization methodologies, complementing the concept created for the wedding branding. Besides knowing that the couple is young, simple, and dedicated, we discovered that they were looking for a bright, spacious, light, simple, and cozy apartment—a true reflection of their personalities.

In addition to the conceptual aspect, we took care to create a project that fulfilled the essential needs for each room. The kitchen should be a space for socialization, open to the living room, and comfortable for cooking with more than one person. The apartment's outdoor area (which is a rooftop) should be cheerful and inviting, perfect for hosting friends. The master suite should convey a sense of peace and lightness. The guest room, besides accommodating occasional guests, should be a comfortable and ergonomic home office. And the living room, their favorite space, should provide comfort and coziness for a good movie session.

Except for the use of white rustic "tijoleta" on the walls of the living room and the master suite, Mari and Edu gave us complete freedom to create the project, from organizing the layout to choosing all the materials used. We worked within a budget limit defined by the clients, so we avoided breaking walls and making changes to the electrical and plumbing systems throughout the apartment as much as possible. This way, we managed to minimize the cost of labor for renovation and new finishes, focusing the investment on custom furniture and lighting.

The result of the project is a pleasant, spacious, and well-lit apartment, using simple solutions with a lot of personality. We aimed to create custom cabinetry that would complete the spaces, providing closure and visual cleanliness to the environment. Almost all the cabinets, shelves, and countertops fill the walls they are placed in, giving a visually clean look to the space. In terms of color tones, we maintained a range of colors that varied from light gray to light wood, avoiding overwhelming the environment with too many color elements. The other decorative elements, such as paintings and plants, fulfill their role by accentuating the furniture with their diversity of colors.

We concluded the project by creating a space that represents this couple, their conversations, and is now ready to welcome new stories, experiences, and embrace the growth of the family they have formed.
