The interior layout of the new wing of FoxTown Factory Stores in Mendrisio was inaugurated in June 2022. It represents an important improvement towards sustainability and the creative reuse of natural materials. In this case, it meant the reuse of the timber from the storm Vaia that hit the north-eastern part of Italy in October 2018; a natural calamity that provoked the uprooting of 8.6 million cubic metres of wood in less than a week. The use of this natural resource makes the structure cosy, functional and highly expressive.

L’allestimento interno della nuova ala del Factory Stores di Mendrisio, inaugurata nel giugno 2022, rappresenta un importante progetto di valorizzazione che pone al centro la sostenibilità e il riuso creativo di materiali naturali. In questo caso si tratta del riuso del legname proveniente dalla tempesta Vaia abbattutasi nel nord-est italiano nell’ottobre del 2018, una calamità naturale che ha provocato lo sradicamento di 8,6 milioni di metri cubi di legname in meno di una settimana. L’uso del legno rende la struttura accogliente, funzionale e fortemente espressiva.
