Barcelona Apartment

Marta Castellano Mas' recent renovation of an apartment in the city has resulted in an impressive and unique interior. As an architecture photographer, I had the opportunity to photograph the space and witness the transformation firsthand. The renovation was extensive and involved a complete overhaul of the existing interior.

One of the most notable changes was in the kitchen-dining area. The designer opted for a combination of dark walls and hydraulic flooring to create a striking and immersive atmosphere. The use of dark tones in this area is a bold choice that adds an element of mystery and drama to the space. The hydraulic flooring not only provides a visual contrast to the dark walls but also creates a sense of movement and flow throughout the room.

The design of the apartment is characterized by a clever use of space and light. The designer made use of the natural light sources, such as windows and skylights, to create a bright and open feel in the living areas. The inclusion of custom-built storage units and shelving kept the space tidy and uncluttered, enhancing its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic.
