Upon our initial visit to the site, we were greeted by a remarkable property enveloped in lush vegetation and an array of majestic trees. It left an indelible impression on us, prompting the realization that the design of this house must harmonize with its natural surroundings. Our challenge lay in creating a structure that respected the land and capitalized on its inherent qualities.

The site's conditions presented an opportunity to craft a residence initially intended for two occupants. The owner's requirements centered around a single bedroom and minimal space for communal activities. However, we incorporated a couple of additional spaces into the program, allowing for the accommodation of guests outside the main house. These spaces seamlessly blended with the public areas, gardens, terraces, and porch, becoming integral parts of the house's overall activities.

The architectural composition can be divided into four levels. The first encompasses the entrance, while the second houses guest bedrooms and the social area. This area features two significant functions: an open kitchen that connects with the living room, dining room, and terrace, creating a fluid connection between the house and its natural environment. The third level comprises the main bedroom, providing a private retreat for the occupants. Finally, the fourth level houses the creative area, encompassing a music studio and a library.

Moreover, was specific designed a perimeter garden to subtly integrate the house into the natural landscape, establishing a sense of unity between the built environment and its surroundings.

While adhering to certain site regulations, which required incorporating "typical" materials that initially seemed restrictive, our design managed to maintain a cohesive language with the rest of the complex. Concrete volumes were carefully balanced with elements of a lightweight metal structure, lending a sense of airiness to the overall composition. The treatment of the fifth facade introduced a play of textures and functionality, simultaneously revealing the construction and functional systems while adding texture and color. Thus, we employed a range of materials, from traditional tiles to sun-mitigating stone and solar cells that powered exterior illumination and the house's machinery room.

To put it concisely, Casa AYG represents an endeavor to streamline functionality, utilize the site's natural resources, and camouflage the construction to minimize its impact on the surrounding environment.
