Located at the heart of the Eixample in Barcelona, Conservatorium is an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of the blasting rush of the metropolis. The apartment’s iconicity is represented by its incredible construction features and by its location in the so-called modernist fincas regias.

The renovation project aims to reinterpret in a contemporary way the history of the building dating back to the 1902, creating contrasts between tradition and modernity. Many of the original structural elements have been preserved, such as the roof's hydraulic vaulted ceilings and its original decorative elements.

The core of the house opens with a double living room on the large 60-square-meter terrace, the main source of light and activity of the house. The interior then develops with two bedrooms, two bathrooms where atmospheres transform into relaxing spaces with muted and restful colours.

The morning sun rays filter through the leaves of the shrubby vegetation of the terrace reflecting on the shiny steel countertop of the kitchen and contrasting with the exposed brick wall where the cooking appliances are placed. Exclusive design pieces furnish the spaces giving the house a contemporary though autochthonous feel.
