Corsal House

Located in the magical town of Tacámbaro (Mexico), Casa Corsal emerges from the desires of a local family to design 2 rest homes and amenities within an existing farm. The project evokes the construction traditions from its region, and commemorates the work of their artisans. Based on an understanding of the site’s conditions, the work is respectfully integrated into its natural context through terraces and walkways, generating an experience that invites the visitor to explore the rest of the complex, made up of a unique red brick pavilion and areas of coexistence. The cabins are characterized by their organic geometry and natural materiality, where the use of soil bricks, wood and clay covering stands out. The interior design makes manifest the vernacular richness of the town, where warm tones and natural textures create an introspective atmosphere; The same scenario where the integration of objects and furniture designed by one of the architects stands out, and which are made from an initiative that involves and recovers the value of local artisans.
