A new entrance with a feature staircase build within an existing restored shed leads to a subterranean house extension - a new living space for the old mansion which is connected below ground with a glass roof corridor. The space is characterized by the natural light of new picture frame windows which are positioned carefully to capture versatile views into the landscape. Local materials like stone, timber and slate roof tiles contribute to the insertion into the natural environment
