This single family home was designed for a family of 5.


Clean minimalistic vibes were our brief, however we had to deal with two major issues:


1. The site was very narrow and long so we had to create a building that was wide and not too bulky, and for that reason used light monochromatic colors that lighten the masses.


 


2. Our second issue was a 150-year-old oak tree that was significant to the site and to the neighboring homes. We wanted to make sure that the neighborhood can still see this giant oak and therefor created an opening in the front elevation so the tree can be seen in every direction.
