Referred to these sea nymphs that emerge to the surface to help sailors, in order to reach to the interior of the house the privileged views of Cortadura Beach, by a play of carpentry, glass and mirrors.

The use of the glass balustrade in the small outdoor terrace, as well as "miter cut" glass without profiles, give total transparency to the views towards the sea from the interior of the house. A mirror placed on the shelf allows the sea to be seen from any point of the living room and kitchen. In the same way a large mirror at the entrance enlarges and dignifies the entrance space to the house.

Being necessary the renovation of the facilities, with more than 50 years, this 65 sq small house has been renovated for a family of four members. The location and design of the storage modules help to optimize the living spaces, providing a greater amplitude and better functional configuration.

The location of the closets with opening to the corridor allows to make the most of the small bedrooms avoiding the duplication of dynamic spaces that prevent their internal redistribution. Each module is designed for a concrete storage according to the needs of its inhabitants: individual cabinets, collective cabinets, shelving, storage, pantry, kitchen, cleaning, laundry, facilities, bathrooms, offices, etc. So that all the modulation with white lacquered wood finish and panelling of the same material provide the house with uniformity and simplicity in its composition.

Through the use of mobile partitions/doors/ furniture, the different rooms are equipped with versatility, designed for everyday life, work at home or the growth of the two children. The choice of materials and finishings allows to provide warmth and lighting to the interior spaces, supported by a carefully analyzed artificial lighting. Occasionally birch is chosen in certain modules to accentuate certain elements such as vegetation, arranged so as to endow it with greater spatial richness to the interior.

In the dining room is used a folding window and extendable table that allows the kitchen-space dining room opens onto the terrace and in most of the weather the climate of Cadiz and the sea breeze can be enjoyed. Equally the layout of the modules that make up the kitchen allows to open and separate at the same time this space, articulating the whole day stay.

The use of high-efficiency glass and carpentry, insulation, as well as an aerotermia system for air conditioning and domestic hot water, allows the improvement of performance and greater efficiency in energy consumption.
