Stanford University headquarter is located in the main floor of Palazzo Capponi alle Rovinate since ten years.

The project of enlargement is based on topics of flexibility and versatility as requested by the Client.

The location with high and decorated ceilings is the background where furniture and services equipment are installed.

The furniture are designed as units to assemble and place depending on teaching requests with flexibility.

Light furniture which remind school tables, their fragmented edge underline the modularity and possible layouts.

The colors palette has been identified according to rooms decorations, restored during construction works.

Three colors rule ensures the continuity between existing and new location and also the carpet on the entire surface to protect historical floors of the Palace.

The "fil rouge" is the fragmented edge which allows to read the concept of modularity.
