IDEAS FOR A SOCIAL-LEISURE CENTRE ON THE “NAVA” AREA CONTEST
When visiting the area called “Nava”, the first things coming to mind are the power of the elements and the quality of the planning area: surrounded by huge terraced hills and in front of a majestic panorama towards the valley.
The “giant” size characterizing these elements creates an immediate relationship with the planning area, almost overstepping the nearest context to directly project itself upon the viewer, through a game of backdrops and natural wings that, although on different levels, embrace the allotment.
The altitude difference compared to its surroundings makes the area a privileged stage to enjoy the relationship with these natural elements.
The project, starting from these considerations, highlights the will to empower the relationship with the surrounding elements through a system of light covered elements which, in terms of scale, position and planning value, ideally establish a relationship with the “giant” order of the context and, ordering the allotment structure, welcome and guide the visitor.
