This single-family house is situated in the residential outskirts of Nyköping, Sweden.

From a distance, the concrete planes that envelop the house create the illusion of a monolithic volume. Up close, the double-height covered terrace and the shifting of the exterior planes create an attractive interplay of light and shadow.

Connected to the main house by the intersection of the facade concrete panels is an additional volume that houses a dependence. Its main window overlooks a small pool on the south/east side of the property, adding a touch of elegance to the design and an additional lounge area overlooking the bay in front of the property.

The ground floor of the villa features an open plan layout, with the kitchen and dining area on one side and a double-height living room on the other. A striking metal spiral staircase connects the ground floor to the upper level, where the bedrooms are located. Every room in the house provides a view of the surrounding area, while still ensuring privacy from the nearby road.
