ALB House | Brengues Le Pavec

The owners wanted a single-storey house. This was made possible thanks to the geometry and the generous surface of the ground. Located in the South of France, the house is the result of a logical chart which responds to a given programme. The objective was to identify three different sections: one living space, one section for the kids’ bedrooms and one section for the parents’ bedroom.
Therefore, the house is composed of three blocs laid on the ground, connected by narrow glass
hallways. The space created between each section responds to the need of physical space and
acoustic comfort. In the centre, the living space is a separation between the parent’s room and the kids’ room. In this organization, all the main rooms benefit from the same and the best orientation. The three sections provide a frame effect on the landscape, created by the terraces.

Les propriétaires souhaitaient une maison de plein pieds. La géométrie et la surface généreuse du terrain permettait de répondre à ce besoin. Située dans le sud de la France, la maison est la résultante d'un organigramme logique en réponse à un programme donné. Il s'agissait de distinguer trois parties distinctes ; un espace de vie, une zone chambres enfants, et une zone parentale.
La maison se présente donc sous la forme de trois volumes posés sur le sol, reliés par de étroits passages vitrés. L'intervalle crée entre chaque partie répond au besoin de rupture physique mais également au confort acoustique. En position centrale, l'espace de vie permet la séparation entre zone parentale et celle des enfants. Dans cette composition, l'ensemble des pièces principales bénéficient de la même et meilleure orientation. L'ensemble des trois volumes bénéficie d'un effet de cadrage sur le paysage, généré par les terrasses.
