When Rechter-Rubinstein approached the design work, she realized that the request for an island without details would create a very narrow, small and uncomfortable living room, so the architect asked to create an island with a stove and a sink on it. To complete the request for separation, the architect created a decorative partition that separates the island from the living room, so that the person sitting in the living room does not see the "mess" in the kitchen and, in addition, gives the person cooking in the kitchen a view of the entire house.

At the end of the island, the architect placed seating for short spontaneous meals with granite gray bar stools similar to the island. The kitchen cabinets were painted in two colors, one part in a granite gray shade and the part facing the living room in an elegant light wood color. These cabinets simulate a library, which could easily find itself in the living room, so the architect created the kitchen as a direct continuation of the living room. The color of the wood is also repeated at the entrance to the house and in the living room and it creates a pleasant and warm look. A hood is placed above the island, which looks like a lamp to give the feeling of a design element of the living room and not of a kitchen.

In the spacious public space created is the living room, with two large seating systems in different shades, and a large carpet that delimits the space and defines it.
