Chiurlo headquarters | VISUAL DISPLAY - Interior Architecture and Design

It's not just a meeting room or a workspace, it's not just a place to welcome customers. The interior architectural studio Visual Display's conceived and designed for Chiurlo [the leading company in the supply of gas and power] a real multifunctional corporate lounge in which you can take a break, have lunch or work informally. And do all of these at the same time with other people in an open space without getting into a match.

Inspired by the airport waiting rooms of the 1950s, the project works on the way of a renewed concept of corporate welfare, sustainability, and quality of life for the worker, focusing on the quality of time spent inside workplaces, how they must be increasingly welcoming and comfortable, how they improve the time and the potential of those who live there.

Extremely welcoming and descreet, the room was designed with the utmost attention to acoustic and luminous comfort. The long blind side of the room is occupied by a large sculptural wall in chestnut wood designed to contain all the functions useful for the space and to hide the entrance at the same time. A veiled curtain shields the light that enters from the three glazed sides, creating a warm and enveloping atmosphere.

The layout is designed so that it can be experienced in different ways according to needs: an informal meeting area with comfortable woolen cloth benches or large velvet swivel armchairs, a central sitting area and a large meeting table that can be separated by chance with a curtain that otherwise disappears inside the wooden wall.

The sound-absorbing ceiling system, made from 100% recycled plastics, hides the technical lights while a flexible light tube illuminates the meeting room, contrasting with its fluidity the clean lines of the table (designed to measure) and the equipped wall.

The project is completed by a small phone booth located at the entrance which offers employees all the privacy they need for a phone call or working.

Non è solo una sala riunioni o una zona di lavoro, né solo un luogo dove ricevere i clienti: si chiama corporate multifunctional space ed è lo spazio ideato dallo studio di architettura d’interni Visual Display per Chiurlo, azienda leader nella fornitura di gas e energia.

Si tratta di una lounge multifunzionale destinata a riunioni aziendali, ma anche un luogo di relax nel quale rigenerarsi, pranzare o lavorare in maniera informale in uno spazio openspace. Ispirato alle sale d’attesa degli aeroporti anni ’50, il progetto ragiona sulla qualità dei luoghi di lavoro che devono essere sempre più accoglienti e confortevoli nel saper valorizzare il tempo che vi viene trascorso e anche le potenzialità di chi li vive per un rinnovato concetto di welfare aziendale, di sostenibilità e di qualità della vita del lavoratore. 

Estremamente accogliente e riservata, la sala è stata progettata ponendo massima attenzione al comfort acustico e luminoso. L’intero lato cieco della stanza è occupato da una grande parete scultorea in legno di castagno, disegnata per contenere al suo interno tutte le funzioni utili allo spazio e allo stesso tempo nascondere l’ingresso. Una tenda velata scherma la luce che entra dai tre lati vetrati creando un’atmosfera soffusa e avvolgente.

La pianta è studiata in modo da poter essere vissuta in modi diversi a seconda delle esigenze: un’area meeting informale, seduti su comode panche in panno di lana o ampie poltrone girevoli in velluto, un’area salotto centrale e un grande tavolo riunioni che all’occorrenza può essere separato per maggiore privacy da una tenda che altrimenti scompare all’interno della parete in legno.

Il sistema di soffitto fonoassorbente, realizzato al 100% con plastiche riciclate, nasconde al suo interno le luci tecniche, mentre un tubo di luce flessibile illumina la sala riunioni contrapponendosi con la sua fluidità alle linee nette del tavolo (disegnato su misura) e della parete attrezzata.

Completa il progetto un piccolo phone booth posto all’ingresso dello spazio che offre ai dipendenti tutta la privacy di cui hanno bisogno.
