We are located in an old typical Milanese railing house with an external balcony overlooking a small courtyard along the Naviglio della Martesana. The apartment for a young family is spread over two floors, the sleeping area is located on the upper floor in a recovered attic. The project focused on finishes, color and furnishings. The use of color has also declined in the furnishings and accessories. The palette of this house is varied. Some furnishings have been chosen with neutral colors to give a touch of color with the finishes and accessories, giving accents of character to the environment. The entrance is characterized by a capacious custom-made piece of furniture. You enter into a single room with the dining area and living area. The dining area is characterized by a wooden family table to which we have combined by contrast the SIPASEDIE "POP" model chairs in sage and gray wood. The lamps above the table are GLOBALL by FLOS in opal glass to give the room a diffused light. The living area is characterized by a large simple and minimal wall bookcase enriched by the family’s books.

KRIPTONITE K1 system library. PARENTESI lamp by FLOS. Yellow and green wall lamp model C:LAMP by SWEDISHNINJA create a wall decoration.

The kitchen has a wonderful view on the Naviglio. The forniture have neutral colors to highlight the beautiful and colorful ceramics by ELISA PASSINO STUDIO- “CAPITELLO”. Here we collect the colors that characterize some elements and furnishings chosen for the kitchen. We find green in the “Ada” concrete lamps by Plato Design and the free wall of the kitchen. We find yellow in the resin on the floor. Red in the choice of vintage 50’s style table and chairs.

On the access floor we also find a small studio with a small bathroom where the green and warm gray PAINTMAKERS resin was applied without demolition. We have replaced the bathroom fixtures, taps and drown custom-made furniture. Upstairs we find the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom on the floor plays with three colours: a warm neutral gray on the floor and along the walls, blue for the masonry top, yellow for the cabinet and the sink. Also in this case no demolitions were done and we choose PAINTMAKERS resin coating. The master bedroom is characterized by the shades of blue that we find in the headboard and in the choice of armchairs that serve as a reading and relaxation corner. The bedroom is served by a very large walk-in closet with windows in order to leave the space in the bedroom free.

The child bedroom is characterized by the volume above the staircase that we have transformed into a small reading corner by coloring the base with Farrow&Ball color with a blackboard effect. The “Ada” model appliques by Plato Design in palette.
