The form of the OCT Chaohu Natural and Cultural Center has been conceived by the architects as an undulating shell which mimics the forms of the nearby hills, and which is then strategically ‘pierced’ to form a series of openings, walkways, and spaces on various levels. The result is a flowing series of outdoor rooms, which offer reflecting pools, seating areas, multiple domed spaces, and excellent vistas of the surrounding area.
