BISI 56 | FADD Architects

A suspended space, a non-Neapolitan environment that made guests feel in a foreign city: this is the concept of Bisi, the new restaurant designed by Fadd in Naples.

A renovation that lasted just two months radically changed the place, from a bar to a temple of sophisticated and experimental cuisine, with a special eye for mixology.

“ Most of the city's premises are concentrated in this area of Naples, the market range is medium but the owners' will was to insert an excellence in this context and together with other virtuous neighbors, elevate it.” say the designers.

Upon entering, the bar counter is located on the left, while the room opens up on the right side of the room. The fifth of this scene is given by the wine cellars. Behind the counter is the bottle rack made of lacquered metal. Continuing on the left we find the kitchen hidden by a pressed paper boiserie. Subsequently, a steel-clad wall covers the staircase leading to the basement. Here there is a more informal room, an environment that is more reminiscent of a home salon than a restaurant.

The coldness of the steel cladding is balanced by a wooden boiserie in warm tones that evokes a retro taste, to create a welcoming and contemporary environment. The smooth surfaces of the metal and wood dialogue with the roughness of the paper boiserie and the hand-chiseled stone bar top.

All the joinery and iron furnishings were made to a design by the architects by local craftsmen.

Uno spazio sospeso, un ambiente poco partenopeo che facesse sentire gli ospiti in una città estera: questo il concept di Bisi, il nuovo ristorante progettato da Fadd a Napoli.

Una ristrutturazione durata appena due mesi, ha modificato radicalmente il locale, da bar a tempio della cucina ricercata e di sperimentazione, con un occhio speciale per la mixology.

“ In questa zona di Napoli si concentra gran parte dei locali della città, la fascia di mercato è medio ma la volontà dei proprietari era quella di inserire un’eccellenza in questo contesto ed insieme ad altri vicini virtuosi, elevarlo.” dicono i progettisti.

Entrando si trova il bancone bar sulla sinistra, mentre la sala si apre nella parte destra dell’ambiente. La quinta di questa scena è data dalle cantine vino. Alle spalle del bancone trova posto la bottiglieria realizzata in metallo laccato. Proseguendo sulla sinistra troviamo la cucina nascosta da una boiserie in carta pressata. Successivamente una parete rivestita in acciaio copre la scala che porta al piano interrato. Qui trova posto una sala più informale, un ambiente che ricorda più un salone di casa che un ristorante. 

La freddezza dei rivestimenti in acciaio è bilanciata da una boiserie in legno dai toni caldi che evoca un gusto retrò, per creare un ambiente accogliente e contemporaneo. Le superfici lisce del metallo e del legno dialogano con la ruvidità della boiserie in carta e del piano bar in pietra scalpellata a mano.

Tutti gli arredi sia di falegnameria che in ferro sono stati realizzati su disegno degli architetti da artigiani locali.
