Zhejiang Botai Furniture HQ | Gennaro De Angelis, AGD

Based on the geographical environment where Botai HQ is located (Anji City), it's brand positioning, and its' leading role with government officials, we defined the theme of this style as "Jiangnan Culture: an Auspicious Mountain, Water and Nature".
Using the Oriental minimalist culture and Anji's unique local business card "the Bamboo" as a foreshadowing, the Oriental charm is inadvertently integrated into International fashion, forming a "new visual impact".

In the following space design, we refined some elements, and carried out the effect around these elements, meaning:

Round Elements
"The sky is round and the earth is round, and the circle is the norm, and the rules form a square circle." This is an important content of traditional Chinese thought and culture.
The circle is also widely used in traditional Chinese architecture, such as the reflection of an arched bridge in the water, and the water shadow forms a circle.
There is also the circle of culture, the unity of man and nature, the Chinese pay attention to the outer circle and the inner square, and the heart is correct. The subject aesthetics embodies the laws of nature.

The Charm of Calligraphy
The minimalist strokes form a "person", and the simple strokes form a perfect combination with the city's business card "the Bamboo".

Red Rhythm
From ancient times to the present, regardless of the East or the West, color is not only the presentation of color but also a language that constitutes what we see. Red is the color of China, festive, unrestrained, energetic, and enthusiastic. It is everywhere, from the majesty of the Emperor to the festiveness of the streets and alleys.

Based on these basic elements, new spatial effects are made.

Entrance Reception
It is too small to reflect the feeling of being "close at hand, but far away in the world" in space, but I still want to express it. I want the guests to have a common understanding and cognition. The beauty and heritage of the space are more diversified. and more international. Just like Botai Anji keeps going to the world, the world keeps getting to know Botai and Anji. This visual and spiritual "hidden but not hidden" is an extraordinary state.

Partition screens in welcome areas and stairwells are therefore crucial. The elegant shape of the Jiangnan silk fan and the subtle silk fabric that seems transparent and non-transparent are used as a welcoming way of hugging, which is the best decoration embodiment.
The theme LOGO wall at the main entrance takes a large area of green natural marble as the background, which conveys the combination with nature and is the first visual impression of the environmental protection concept of the Botai furniture products.
The inner landscape installation between the gate and the LOGO wall also expresses a concept of being close at hand but not hidden.

Entrance Hall
The symmetrical semi-circular elevated door openings echo each other and are in charge of different areas, which are opposed to each other and connected with each other. Arched, with a stronger force in architectural mechanics. At the same time, it also means that the support of the entire enterprise has greater capabilities. It is also a bridge between local and international connections.
The top surface of the suspended ceiling of the empty hall is evolved by using the modern technique of the round sky, combined with the concept of the roof of the Chinese-style dwelling and the slope of the bamboo hat, as a new decorative treatment to express a restrained fashion.
The public area on the second floor of the lobby is a relatively casual space. We use the local characteristic bamboo leaf shape as the lighting and decoration on the top surface, and inadvertently incorporate Anji's beautiful business card.

For the color treatment of the arch in the foyer, we made a red match, which can be used as a reference for multiple choices.

The open lounge on the left side of the foyer is relatively warm and elegant, making people calm.
The overall arc-shaped striped stone on the wall is a typical oriental garden Zen-style stone, like flowing water, full of vicissitudes of life, combined with the interpretation of modern lighting, restrained and calm, exuding this unique oriental charm.

The separation between the leisure hall and the bar area follows the upside-down semicircle shape, which looks like a small boat, and the hanging lamp in the middle, like an elegant pearl, exudes a unique light.
The void in the lounge is arranged as a herringbone top surface, with continuous lights hanging from the wall, corresponding to the opposite stairwell, forming a "Bamboo" character. Simple and clean, it contains oriental culture without losing the visual sense of international fashion.
"Movable type printing" is the embodiment of ancient Chinese civilization. Combining this symbol with the abstract landscape form serves as the decorative main light in the bar area. The space is more complete and unified.
The bar counter and wine cabinet are combined with translucent jade and translucent acrylic in a modern form as materials. Improve the sense of quality and craftsmanship.

Stairs
In Oriental culture, water has the ability to popularize all living things and is the support of life.
Dripping water forms a river, endless. It is a beautiful meaning.
The streamlined spiral staircase, combined with the combination of real water and water drop installation art, has become a crucial decoration in the hall space. At the same time, it forms a "type" echo with the exhibition and training hall in the diagonal space

Government Reception
Defined as a very important space when government leaders visit, it is solemn but keeps up with fashion. Similarly, the Chinese culture is inadvertently integrated in. The landscape carpet on the ground, the main background of bamboo patterns, and the elegant and advanced wall colors will make the overall space more relaxed.

Conference Room
It is relatively formal, and half a bamboo leaf is integrated into the top as decorative lighting, which makes the layers richer and more flexible, and also incorporates elements of the coherence of the entire space. Form a meeting space that is both independent and integrated.
For the exterior door of the building, we have some new ideas
The theme is still to convey the concept of "man and nature", linking "type" and culture together as a visual and image embodiment.

Second Floor Atrium

Papermaking:
The wisdom of ancient Chinese civilization. Scroll, a symbol of diligence, source of wisdom and spiritual strength.
The volume of books is a kind of scholarly atmosphere in the south of the Yangtze River. The shape of the volume is a kind of intentional aesthetics. The simple lines show a three-dimensional beauty of winding and turning. It is also commonly used in Chinese classical furniture to show the expression of some details.

Folding fan:
The homonym of "fan" is "goodness", which interprets the fine qualities of kindness and humility of the Chinese nation. It is a symbol of strategizing, winning thousands of miles, being tolerant to all rivers, and being wise and brave.
