Goldenstern Townhouse, conceived as an accommodation facility, housed in an old palace in the historic centre of Bolzano was previously used as a private residence. The walls of Goldenstern tell a story of more than 800 years, stucco ceilings, cross vaults and frescoes of the Giotto school are part of the palace's heritage. 
The transformation into a hotel structure freed the spaces from the various divisions and interpreted the new rooms as "boxes" that left the perception of the original volume intact; thus, for example, the bathroom in the Baptista flat whose walls were covered in burnished iron and detached from the historic wall.

The custom-designed furnishings also accompany the irregularity of the walls. A few simple elements were chosen, with a focus on unique vintage pieces.

The bathrooms have been created in the spirit of the building with cement tiles and “ecoskin”, a reinterpretation of a cement-resin system, accompanied by wallpaper by Wall&Deco.
The bathroom fittings, inspired by antique wash-basins, are embellished with Diametro 35 taps by Ritmonio in satin-finished steel.

Particular care was taken in the choice of finishes and materials: where it was possible, work was done on the existing wooden floors to restore their conceptual integrity. Where it was not possible, solid oak floors were laid. Particular attention was paid to restoring the original stucco and plasterwork, as well as the precious 15th-century fresco in the lobby, where the large convivial table is an old refectory table and reflects the spirit of the building in which we are located.

Goldenstern Townhouse, pensato come struttura ricettiva, ricavato all’interno di un antico palazzo nel centro storico di Bolzano era precedentemente destinato ad abitazioni private. Le mura di Goldenstern raccontano una storia di oltre 800 anni, soffitti in stucco, volte a crociera e affreschi di scuola giottesca fanno parte del patrimonio di questo palazzo. 
La trasformazione in una struttura alberghiera, ha liberato gli spazi dalle varie divisioni  e interpretato i nuovi ambienti come  “scatole” che lasciassero inalterata la percezione del volume originario; così, ad esempio il bagno del appartamento Baptista le cui  pareti sono state rivestite in ferro brunito e staccate dal muro storico.

Anche gli arredi, disegnati su misura, accompagnano le irregolarità dei muri. Sono stati scelti pochi e semplici elementi, con un attenzione particolare a pezzi unici vintage.

I bagni sono stati realizzati nello spirito del palazzo con rivestimenti in cementine e ecoskin, una reinterpretazione di una superfice cementizia,  accompagnati da carta da parati. 
Gli arredi del bagno, ispirati ad antichi lavatoi, sono impreziositi da rubinetteria Diametro 35 di Ritmonio in acciaio satinato.

E' stata particolarmente curata la scelta di finiture e materiali: si è intervenuti dove si poteva sui pavimenti in legno esistenti per ripristinarne l’integrità concettuale. Dove non era possibile sono stati posati pavimenti in massello di quercia. Particolare attenzione si é posta al restauro degli stucchi ed intonaci originari, nonché del prezioso affresco del 400 nella lobby, dove Il grande tavolo conviviale è un antico tavolo da refettorio e rispecchia lo spirito del palazzo in cui ci troviamo.
