RECONSTRUCTRION OF HOM HOTEL, SANTORINI

On Oia, with a view to Thirasia and the Aegean sea, the hotel is developed on a sloped plot, with independent suites and public spaces (reception, restaurant, pool). The hotel was reconstructed on a functional and aesthetics scope. The goal was to unify the hotel as a distinct whole, functionality of spaces, exploiting the view and the orientation, with respect on the same time of the local architectural language.

With targeted interventions, on every space separately, an attempt was made to develop a familiar atmosphere, reminding small independent houses and not a hotel feeling. In an existing unfinished shell in which an old traditional house is incorporated, on an 1.072sq.m. plot Hom hotel was created, with 13 suites, reception, bar-restaurant and a pool, developed on 4 levels with an elevator that connects the 3 levels for ease of access.

All the suites have their own independent balcony and jacuzzi. With a view of the Aegean sea and to Thirasia, giving privacy to the residents. The hotel entrance is on the street, on the higher level of the plot. Reception is on the 1st level, the pool with the bar-restaurant on the second level and the suites are 2 on the 1st level, 2 on the 2nd, 7 on the 3rd and 2 on the 4th level.
