The new Brooks Library at Norfolk State University is conceived as a student-focused facility that will become the new heart of the campus. The building is positioned to create two new quadrangles to the East and West. The 132,000 square foot building includes a 3-story round rotunda lobby, the circulation desk, 24/7 Internet cafe, staff offices, as well as other functional spaces. The library's interior is designed as a lively, activated and inviting space that will accommodate the University's growing population. The building design team is pursuing Silver level LEED certification.
