From 1908 to 1942 Sears Roebuck Company sold 320 different models of Kit Houses. They were designed so a person with little or no building experience could put them together. These were not prefabricated homes or tiny Homes, these were full large houses. Thinking on the possibilities of what a kit building could bring, and its affordability, this is our take on a self-sustained two-bedroom Type V wood frame unit located in the Joshua Tree area of the California desert.
