Glola Steakhouse | KOM Hive
Georgian Restaurant Tbilisi / Georgia / 2022
STORY
Steakhouse concepts are typically “masculine” spaces with reclaimed woods, low lighting and heavy, dark leather upholstery. In order for GLOLA Steakhouse to stand out in the extremely busy cafe-filled neighborhood of Tbilisi, compliment the original construction of the factory built in 1896 and reasonably balance old and new , the Interior Design of the restaurant mixed traditional steakhouse layout, authentic Georgian elements and contemporary clean style for creating a timeless ambiance. With the vision of dining experience being both modern and classic, trendy and artistic, the space tends to celebrate the fusion of traditional and contemporary in a hospitable, cozy and elegant atmosphere.

Water
• The Village of GLOLA where the name of the restaurant is originated is located on the southern slope of the main watershed of the Caucasus, on the banks two rivers. Also rich with transparent fresh springs and various mineral waters.
Green and wood
• Deep green forests are covering main areas of the village.
Stone
• Glola is surrounded by snowy mountains and glaciers. Famous heretical stones of GLOLA brought from the main ridge by the glacier are included in the “Red Book of Georgia”.
Raw surfaces and culture of painting
• Ruins of two medieval churches and other buildings can be found in the area. One, relatively large, church of St. George is covered with neatly trimmed yellow tiles. There are traces of painting in the interior. The second, semi-finished stone church of Michael Gabriel was also painted.
