Private Apartment Torre Solaria | Studio Marco Piva

On the highest floors of Torre Solaria, the tallest residential building in Italy, Studio Marco Piva was charged, after a careful selection process among numerous international firms, to design the interior of an apartment for an important foreign client, that was looking for a prestigious real estate opportunity for his periods of stay in Milan.

The original layout has been modified to meet its aesthetic requirements and use needs, demolishing the walls where possible and creating large windows that allow a more fluid appearance of the environment: a dynamic space linked with the outside, with a set of features dedicated to a contemporary businessman.

Two of the existing bedrooms were respectively converted into a Studio and a Gym, while the third remained for the service staff. The environments dedicated to work, leisure and relaxation, such as the specifically requested Japanese bath, have been designed to blend tradition and modernity, combining the needs of a businessman with his most intimate sphere: a dedicated home, with a precise identity, in which to recognize himself at each Milanese stay.

The request was for a highly materical place, yet clean and elegant, with a "on touch" effect  marked by the textures, details and rhythm in which the floor and wall materials alternate: light veins, soft colors and refined contrasts blend with the selected furnishings, all from the most renowned Italian companies, with the custom designed elements that make the environment unique, and with works of art owned by the customer that have been integrated into the design story.

A delicate luxury that is expressed through details, a minimal style that enhances the essentiality of the design, in balance between elegance and lightness.

Ai piani alti della Torre Solaria, l'edificio residenziale più alto d'Italia, lo Studio Marco Piva è stato incaricato, dopo un attento processo di selezione tra numerosi studi internazionali, del progetto degli interni di un appartamento per un importante cliente straniero, che cercava un’opportunità immobiliare prestigiosa per i suoi periodi di permanenza nella città.

Il layout originale è stato modificato per rispondere alle sue esigenze estetiche e di utilizzo, demolendo ove possibile i muri e creando grandi vetrate che permettessero un aspetto più luminoso e fluido dell’ambiente: uno spazio dinamico in connessione con l’esterno, con funzionalità dedicate ad un uomo d’affari contemporaneo.

Due delle camere preesistenti sono state convertite, rispettivamente, in Studio e Gym, mentre la terza è rimasta ad uso del personale di servizio. Gli ambienti dedicati al lavoro, allo svago e al relax, come il bagno giapponese specificatamente richiesto, sono stati studiati per fondere tradizione e modernità, coniugando le esigenze di un businessman alla sua sfera più intima: una casa dedicata, con un’identità precisa, nella quale riconoscersi ad ogni soggiorno milanese. 

La richiesta è stata per un luogo fortemente materico, ma pulito ed elegante, con un effetto “on touch” dettato dalle texture, dai dettagli e dal ritmo in cui i materiali a pavimento e rivestimento si susseguono: venature leggere, colori tenui e contrasti ricercati si fondono con gli arredi selezionati, tutti italiani delle aziende più rinomate, con elementi disegnati custom a rendere unico l’ambiente, e con opere d’arte di proprietà del cliente che son state integrate nel racconto progettale. 

Un lusso delicato che si esprime tramite dettagli, uno stile minimal che valorizza l’essenzialità del design, in equilibrio tra eleganza e leggerezza.
