This project regards the refurbishment and expansion of a traditional Portuguese two-store building, built in the 20s of the last century. It consists of the creation of a larger flat and the transformation of an old store into a residential flat on the ground floor.

It aims to rehabilitate two distinct flats with two existing divisions, reformulating the entire interior while using the original form. The rear facade had a closed balcony that was replaced by an elevation, creating a beautiful balcony that changed the visual image compared to the original. This balcony will have new stainless steel and wood sliding doors for more privacy.

The main facade will be plastered in the original color and waterproofed in order to improve the durability of the materials, evoking the typical Lisbon traditional architecture

The building consists of three T1 apartments, the top floor being a T2 duplex.

LOCATION: Rua Carlos dos Reis, Lisboa

YEAR: Under Construction

ARCHITECTURE: Nuno Ladeiro / Carmo Branco

CONTRIBUTORS: Barbara Raimundo / Diogo Malanho / Marta Carvalho
