The project for the extension of the Cova Adaglio Palace follows a functional approach, where the design criteria derive from the didactic and organisational requirements of the school. It stands in continuity to the existing historical building and is characterised by contemporary architectural and technological features.


The volume hosting the classrooms is built in X-lam panels and is equipped with FV panels on the roofing that are needed to satisfy energy consumption needs. The gymnasium is constructed in a wooden framework, completed with a metallic ventilated façade that provides high bioclimatic performance. The flexibility is a key focus in the design proposal: the classrooms are separated through movable wall partitions that can be arranged depending on the user’s need.

Il progetto di ampliamento di Palazzo Cova Adaglio segue un approccio di tipo prestazionale, all’interno del quale i criteri di progettazione derivano dalle esigenze didattiche e organizzative della scuola. L’impianto, dai forti caratteri innovativi sotto il profilo architettonico e tecnologico, si pone comunque in continuità con l’edificio storico.


Il volume delle aule è realizzato in pannelli XLAM, implementato in copertura con pannelli FV necessari al fabbisogno energetico dell’edificio. La palestra presenta una struttura a telaio in legno, completata da una facciata ventilata in metallo che permette performance elevate sotto il profilo bioclimatico. La flessibilità è un tema cardine della proposta: le aule sono separate da pareti manovrabili in funzione delle esigenze accademiche.
