Is it possible to build in a special way in a suburbian context? And how far does the freedom of the architect extend if one has to work with standard floor plans? With the optimistic Palazzo Porte we show that anything is possible.

The semi-detached city villas have a salvaged and an open side. On the street, the architecture has a vertical character and dark arches form a soft barrier between city and home. Along the green valley, the houses open up to the nature playground, which is six meters below. This side has the horizontality of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and that makes it a place to feel free. Unwind in your rocking chair or drink coffee with your neighbors.

Buyers were offered a wide choice in both the floor plans and the level of finish. Expansion could be done to the rear, on the floors or up. The resulting variety of different housing types and a building line that continuously shifts makes the project playful and flexible.

Palazzo Porte is a nod to Italian palaces. A cheerful play between dark and light volumes; between private and public. Here you have your own place, a special home.
