The new landmark is designed imagining a membrane
through which sounds pass, as if by osmosis, and their shape
not only defines spaces for different functions but also endeavours
to be the chords of a violin which bridge the Algate High street an the surrounding building
The structural design induces the new landmark to lose its classical conventional meaning
and, with its new shape and structural elements, to be the player of the new space, enlarging this into one where each functional element, such as
the light source, the large arbour, the glass creens, has a specific
perpetual role, whether the user is present or not.
All these elements are favourably combined with a structure steel, bent in on itself to provide a personal space on an upper floor level,
where the user can enjoy their private, personal meditation whilst sharing
