Restaurant Alexo | Laboratorul de Arhitectura

Alexo Restaurant is a project informed and inspired by the beautiful garden in which it seats peacefully, in the old town of Targoviste, former capital of Wallachia. The space flows seamlessly from inside to outside. We aimed to integrate and bring the outside in as much as possible, using natural textures, earthy tones and creating a vibrant green ceiling that makes you feel like you are sitting under the canopy of a forest. The light fixtures appear to be floating beneath this canopy, airy, organic shaped and also from natural materials.
Easy grace and relaxed elegance are the coordinates of this project. The exposed brick unites the space and the rough plaster makes you think of a Spanish cantina. The dark metal also is a motif that unites the space and gives it a more modern and industrial feel, which was one of the client's main requirements.
The fireplace greets you as soon as you step inside, set in its own more informal lounge area, perfect to enjoy a drink and a conversation.
